Challenge

The university needed to gather job offers and guidance for students and graduates into a single public platform. The frontend consumed institutional APIs whose data changes outside the site: listings, forms and help content had to stay consistent with that data while being just as usable on a phone as on a desktop.

Approach

I built the modules on Next.js with TypeScript and isolated the data layer with React Query, so queries, cache and error states are handled in one place instead of inside every component. Forms validate before submitting and translate API failures into messages users can act on; the help center is edited in Markdown so the team can maintain content without touching code. We worked in Jira sprints, delivering module by module and testing each integration against the institutional services.

Outcome

A stable public platform for students and graduates: job offers and help content read smoothly on mobile and desktop, and the frontend stays maintainable because data access lives isolated in its own layer.
